This is a seasonal position which consists of Utility work and groundskeeping.
ObjectiveThe primary objective of this position is to assist the Housekeeping Department in maintaining pertinent areas of the facility in a clean, sanitary, attractive and safe manner according to a timely task assignment schedule.
This is accomplished through following the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, completing assigned duties and tasks, and working in coordination with other housekeeping personnel.
Under the direction of the Concierge Services Manager, the Utility Worker is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the campus grounds, all carpeted and tile floors, all patios and outside furniture, trash removal, fireplaces, and assisting the Housekeeping staff with six-month cleanings.
The Utility Worker will complete assigned duties and responsibilities while fostering the philosophy and objectives of the organization as set forth in is mission statement, vision statement and policies.
Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Responsible for cleaning and shampooing all carpeted floors, including the operation and maintenance of extractors and floor machines.
Responsible for cleaning, waxing, and polishing all tiled floors, including Employee break rooms, craft room, coffee shop, gift shop, resident laundry room, PT/OT room, beauty shops, Commons laundry and Commons dock side rooms.
Maintains and cleans all fireplaces, fluorescent light fixtures, kick plates, vents and other areas as scheduled.
Assists with setting up tables and chairs for resident programs and meetings.
Assists with Holiday decoration install and takedown.
Assists with six-month cleanings.
Responsible for trash removal, including paper/glass removal and maintenance and cleaning of all compactor bins, chutes and compactor room floors.
Maintains Housekeeping equipment in clean condition and in good repair.
Ensures adequate supplies located throughout campus.
Familiar with departmental supplies, their limitations, quantities, purpose and hazards and follows MSDS instructions.
Knowledge and compliance with OSHA standards.
Assists the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure that all Housekeeping standards are met for move-outs as residents vacate apartments and for move-ins prior to a new resident accessing the apartment.
Interacts and takes direction from the Housekeeping Supervisor to complete assigned duties and responsibilities.
Ensures outstanding customer service in accordance with the mission of Peace Village.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
